Sooo I was the recipient of the 2020 Alain Locke award presented by the Friends of African and African American Art (FAAAA) at the Detroit Institute of Arts museum today. I’ve been so nervous about it, I was afraid to share it. But @lamarlanders was able to capture how proud I truly am immaculately. I was a train wreck this morning and the days preceding but I got it together and presented my work with confidence.
